Hair of the Dog is all about animal portraits: the DVD shows you how Bob goes about tattooing a dog portrait. He explains in detail how he creates texture in the fur, makes the dog’s nose look wet and how to best do those adorable puppy eyes. These techniques are not just used for pet portraits, but can be applied to just about any tattoo style.
Tyrrell was born in Detroit, Michigan and began tattooing in his thirties.He has been featured in LA Ink and London Ink and is best known for tattooing Kid Rock‘s back. In 2012 he participated as a jury member in the first Chaudesaigues Award, an award that recognizes the career and artwork of tattoo artists.

– This seminar will cover all aspects of doing a portrait tattoo, including wildlife. It will also cover black and grey technique in general. It lasts 2-3 hours, and comes with a booklet that goes over the entire process of doing a realistic portrait.
